The EU funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” in cooperation with the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan (AoCS) successfully organized the next day of the “Summer School” events intended to acquaint the lecturers of AoCS and other project stakeholders with the best international practice of the master’s program implementation. The third day of the webinar was conducted in the conference hall of the AoCS with the participation of the project international expert Dr. Annika Jaansoo.
The presentation of the Dr. Annika Jaansoo covered the topic “Planning, Organization and Management of Research Activities of Master’s Degree Program Students”. She explained about research requirements for the MA students, MA thesis project, supervising, how the programme supports the research, common barriers for the high-quality research, cultivating student capability and student self-assessment.
The interactive training was full of interesting questions raised by the participants, namely on the topic points such as “Doing researches”, “Filling a students’ knowledge gaps”, “Evaluation of the progress of the students”, “Exercises and activities to improve research capacities” and “Plans in future cooperation with local and international institutions”.
The training was concluded with an exchange of views between the participants and the expert, and as a result, the participants highly appreciated the effectiveness of the event and expressed hope for further cooperation.
