Ashgabat, 21 September 2019. Seventh round of series of workshops on development and implementation of Master’s Degree program in Public Administration was conducted in the Paytagt business center. The workshop was organized by the European Union funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” with participation of the project senior expert Ms. Albena Taneva.
Key expert of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan, representatives of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan (AoCS), Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Turkmenistan, Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, International University for the Humanities and Development took an active part in the event.
The aim of the workshop was to introduce a draft MPA module on Leadership. Ms. Albena Taneva presented the nature, principles, elements, process of leadership and explained the topic from the different prospective with life examples. Different opinions raised active discussion on the leadership system and its role in the organization. Participants discussed autonomy in the organizations and compared different leadership strategies of the developed counties. The event was continued with different games of leadership, which showed the relationship of a leader and a follower.
MPA workshops introduce modern training programs in public administration with international practices which contribute to enhancement of the institutional and training capacities of the AoCS and other stakeholders.
