The third block of the Advanced Cybersecurity trainings, designed for the IT professionals working in the Civil Service of Turkmenistan, was conducted during 7-9 January 2021 in the meeting hall of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan (AoCS). The event was organized by the European Union-funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” with online participation of the project international IT expert Mr. Urmas Aavasalu.
The Advanced Cybersecurity training sessions were developed by Mr. Urmas Aavasalu considering the needs of the participants and with the aim to complement their earlier gained knowledge with the newest IT approaches.
The training sessions were consisted of interesting presentations about Common attack vectors, Cross-Site Request Forgery, Value of data, SQL Injection, Shells, Robots, LFI & RFI, NULL byte poisoning, Servers and Logs. Mr. Urmas Aavasalu demonstrated several tactics to defend the website, prevent attacks and shared with the participants the valuable links related to the topics. Practical part of the training continued with exchanges of ideas and views among the participants which helped them in finding solutions for the practical exercises.
At the end of the training the participants expressed their gratitude to the expert for the intensive training sessions emphasizing the importance of the obtained knowledge first of all for their work which in turn would also contribute to promotion of digitalization in Turkmenistan.
The event was concluded with the announcement of the practical test for the participants, which will be conducted on 22 January 2021 in the premises of AoCS and result in final awarding of the participants with the deserved certificates.
