EU supports public administration development in Central Asia through best practices implementation

NUR-SULTAN – Within the framework of the EU-funded project “Support for public administration capacity building in Turkmenistan” during 29 September – 2 October 2019 Kazakhstan hosts the third round of the working visit to learn about the development of Master’s programs from experience of Central Asian countries.

The study visit is organized with participation of teaching staff of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan and other stakeholders – members of the Project working group on development of Master’s programs in Public Administration with a goal to present some of the final draft modules of the future Master’s Degree program to the EU Delegation in Kazakhstan, which is in charge for the portfolio of EU-funded projects in Turkmenistan.

The main event will be held on 1 October and will be opened by the Rector of the Academy of Public Administration of Kazakhstan Mr Yerlan Abil, Head of Cooperation of the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan Mr Johannes Stenbaek Madsen, the Project Team Leader Mr. Folkert Milch and by a representative of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan.

During the visit the group will be introduced with the Distance Learning Centre of the Academy of Public Administration, and modules on Administrative Law, HRM, Microeconomics and Public Finance are to be presented to discuss further steps in development of Master’s in Public Administration programs in Turkmenistan.
