Certification Ceremony for Successful Cybersecurity Training Course Completion

ASHGABAT, the European Union-funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” conducted a Certification Ceremony for the IT specialists of different partner institutions for successful completion and passing the exam of the Cybersecurity Training Course. The certification ceremony took place in the conference hall of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan (AoCS).

Earlier, on 15-16 and 22-23 June 2020, the project organized the four sessions of the Cyber4Security training for IT personnel working in civil service. The training covered different aspects of the cybersecurity field. The event was implemented upon the request of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to support the IT specialists in deepening their knowledge.

The project international expert Mr. Urmas Aavasalu made a brief overview of the Cyber4Security course covered in the previous training sessions and introduced the new world trends in cybersecurity. He spoke about social engineering and advanced Malware software citing various examples with useful links.

Mr. Urmas Aavasalu also presented topics for the future advanced training sessions and proposed to the participants to choose the relevant topic, which could be applied in their working field. Accordingly, the participants chose the topic “Defensive Security”. The training is foreseen to cover the most important aspects of the web defensive security, considering new international trends.

At the end of the event, the shortlisted candidates, who scored high marks according to the results of the practical exams, were awarded the certificates.

The Project Team Leader Mr. Folkert Milch congratulated the participants and wished them success in their career. Participants expressed gratitude for the organized trainings and showed a great interest in the upcoming training sessions.
