Advanced Cybersecurity trainings for the IT specialists in Civil Service

The European Union-funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” launched the Advanced Level Cybersecurity trainings. The second phase of the Cybersecurity trainings was elaborated to complement the earlier gained knowledge of the IT specialists in this area. The first day of the training session was conducted in the conference hall of the Academy of civil service under the President of Turkmenistan with online participation of the project international expert Mr. Urmas Aavasalu.

IT professionals – representatives of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan, Central Bank of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Ministry of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan, State Committee on Statistics of Turkmenistan and the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, who completed the first phase of the Cybersecurity Trainings and passed the exam, participated in the event.   

The first day of the event covered the web security basics, history and development. The well-known IT expert Mr. Urmas Aavasalu presented the topic, demonstrating some processes in practice. He spoke about the WEB –  scope and structure, ownership and protection, web technologies, web browsers, URL, URI, URN, browser engines, rendering engines, JavaScript, ECMAScript, feature creep, old browsers and websites, browser wars and web standards. The training participants actively discussed with the expert the web development, data formats, frameworks and libraries and security tools. The Advanced Cybersecurity trainings, designed for step-by-step mastering of the participants the defensive value of security, will comprise several sessions and they are planned to be conducted by the EU project in the coming weeks.
