Advanced Cybersecurity trainings – best practices to enhance expertise in the IT field

The EU funded project “Support for Public Administration Capacity Building in Turkmenistan” successfully organized the second set of the Advanced Cybersecurity trainings during 17-19 December 2020. The event took place in the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan with online participation of the project international expert Mr. Urmas Aavasalu.

The training aimed at enhancing the knowledge of IT specialists of different partner institutions in Turkmen civil service, was complemented with the best international practices in web security by introducing the cybersecurity techniques of the leading countries.

During the training sessions, Mr. Urmas Aavasalu presented to the participants the trending IT topics like inputs, input data validation, a false sense of security, Flash, Silverlight, Java applet, Excessive data, URL encoding, UI, Authentication, Brute-Force, Iterations & specific functions, Cookie, Session management, Lab. The theoretical sessions were integrated with practical examples and constructive tasks. The participants discussed with the expert the topics and following the guidance of the expert, checked the links leading to the useful websites.

The training session was concluded with the participants’ appreciation of the introduced interesting topics and with their expression of willingness to take active part in the next sessions of the Advanced Cybersecurity training planned for the beginning of January 2021.
